About Us

Barry Barlow began his career in 1976 at NASA working on the Space Shuttle program during "the early days".  He has subsequently been a key leader in both the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense.  In his federal career, he was recognized by President Obama as a Presidential Rank Distinguished Executive, President Bush as a Presidential Rank Meritorious Executive, Secretary Gates as a DoD Distinguished Civilian Service recipient, and DNI Clapper as an IC Distinguished Civliian Service recipient.  Subsequent to his federal career, he was recognized as both a FCW Federal 100 and Executive Mosaic Wash 100 winner for his work in industry.  Most recently, he was inducted into the 2020 GEOINT Hall of Fame.  

I have always had the good fortune to work with talented people on challenging missions.  At NASA, the team members I worked for and with had just transferred off the Apollo program.  In the Defense and Intelligence Community space, the leaders were a "Who's Who" each of whom had successful careers, and who worked on some of our nation's hardest problems. In the 1990's, after President Clinton signed legislation that opened up space to commercial providers, I was blessed to take a position at the forefront of the market, leading to the model we see today with satellite imagery available on every desktop and cell phone.  And when 9/11 happened, I had the opportunity to support our men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan; an opportunity that instilled a passion for agility and flexibility in delivering systems at scale. Each year, every career move allowed personal and professional growth. 

Now it's time to give back and share a little of what was shared with me.

My faith underpins everything I am and everything I do.

Faith mandates Integrity in business practices. I strive to treat others as I would want them to treat me.  Be professional first but be fair always.

Faith requires Respect in dealing with team members and with those I do business with.  We are a team of equals, although the customer is "more equal" than others.

Faith warrants Dedication, and that means not just dedication to the Top Line or the Bottom Line, but dedication to the mission, dedication to each other and dedication to giving our best each and every day.

My faith believes that we can continue to improve as well, each day, and that translates to Innovation and Passion.  Innovation is needed to move beyond the status quo, or what was good enough yesterday, or good enough for yesterday's problems.  To innovate continually requires a Passion that goes beyond "just work".  We aren't just employees, we are ambassadors for our company and for the Lord.  That position should inspire us to go beyond our capabilities and our strength, or what is humanly possible.

Phil 4:13 states  -- "I can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength." 

All things, not just some things.  

Not on my on.  Never on my on. My on will not be good enough.
