SHERRY GARNER

Sherry Garner received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario and a diploma in Musical Theatre from Sheridan College, specializing in performance.  She continues to perform in various regional and commercial theatres throughout Canada.

 

Her ongoing dedication to the arts community has prompted her to diversify her skills and pursue a parallel career in arts administration. She has experience in company management, box office co-ordination, general management and grant writing.  In 2003, Sherry worked for Marquis Entertainment Inc., a company that provides management and development in the arts.  Some of the projects that she worked on include Mordecai Richler: A Celebration at the Monument National in Montreal, Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh at the New Yorker Theatre in Toronto and the opening season at the Jackson Triggs Ampitheatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.  

 

In 2003-2004, Sherry undertook an administrative internship with Janis A. Barlow & Associates.  Her services were made possible through Theatre Ontario’s Professional Theatre Training Program, funded by the Ontario Arts Council.
